Quito, Nov 21 (EFE) .- The Comptroller General of the State of Ecuador today ratified a resolution of dismissal against the president of the Ecuadorian Institute of Social Security (IESS), Richard Espinosa, investigated for alleged irregularities in the accounting of a debt of the entity.
The Comptroller, the state court of accounts, ratified the "responsibility guilty administrative "of Espinosa, for the accounting elimination of a debt of the State with that institution, informed the public television.
The document subscribed by the contralor Pablo Celi, which ratifies the "sanction of dismissal" and a fine of $ 7,320 against the IESS holder, will be handed over to the president of the Republic, Lenin Moreno, to be him who takes the corresponding actions.
The president of the Social Security was accused by the Comptroller a month ago for his supposed responsibility in the elimination of about 2,500 million dollars of a debt of the State with the IESS.
Espinosa, who has defended his innocence, said in his Twitter account that he had not been officially notified yet. the decision of the Comptroller's Office and said that, if the press information is true, it would impugn the measure.
"In the event that this is the case, within my right I will proceed with the respective challenge, "wrote the head of the IESS.
