Gol increases its profits in the third quarter and reverses the losses of 2016

The company's revenue between July and September was 2,710. million reals (about 828 million dollars), 13.2% more than the 2,400 million reals (733 million dollars) of the same period last year, according to a statement.

In the accumulated in 2017, the airline's revenues reached 7,590 million reais (234 million dollars), 5.5% more than in the first nine months of last year.

The company transported 7.8 million passengers within Brazil during the third quarter of the year, which represents an increase of 2.6% over the same period of 2016.

Likewise, during these months, the passenger transport capacity of the airline increased by 3.9% and the demand by 4.5%, also the occupancy rate that reached 80.9 in the third quarter of the year %, 0.5% more than that registered in 2016.

Regarding the international market, Gol embarked 500,000 passengers, 5.3% more than in the same period of the previous year, also increased supply and demand in these three months, by 9.1% and 10.1% respectively.

The occupancy rate of flights with destinations outside Brazil reached 75.3% in this quarter, 0.7% more than from July to September 2016.

In the accumulated of the year, international demand remained stable in relation to the previous year, unlike the offer that was reduced by 2.7% in these nine months.

The airline Gol, leader in the transport of passengers in the Brazilian aviation market, played an important role in the democratization of air transport in the country, by becoming the largest low cost airline and best rate in Latin America.
