According to the Ministry, the signing of the Cooperation Agreement was with the National Committee for Economic Cooperation with Latin American Countries (CN CEPLA).

According to the official agenda, the minister will meet today in Russia with Tatiana Mashkova, director of the CEPLA NPP and will hold a meeting with representatives of Zarubezhneft, the state oil company Russian.

Likewise, he will hold a meeting with the first vice president of the oil company Rosneft, Erik Liron and with authorities of Technoproject, among other activities.

The past Friday, when he arrived in Russia, Campana announced that Ecuador will resume the export of shrimp and fishery products from four national companies to that nation, after a year of blockade for phytosanitary requirements.

The lifting of the restriction on Ecuadorian fishery products came after the meeting with Sergei Alekseevich Dankvert, co-president of the Ecuadorian-Russian Intergovernmental Commission for Economic and Commercial Cooperation (Cicec).

This entity is in charge of finding more direct trade routes between both nations and increase trade, according to the Ministry of Foreign Trade.

Currently, Ecuador covers approximately 11 percent of Russian shrimp demand, in a market of 142 million inhabitants, the Ministry has indicated.

The Ecuadorian official is in Russia in the framework of an international tour called "Invest Ecuador 2017", with the object of expanding its commercial relations.

In addition to Russia, the minister's tour includes the United Arab Emirates, South Korea and Japan, where he will present the investment catalog. that drives the Ecuadorian Government and that is valued at 33,000 million dollars.
